Granddaughter 's is growing like mad and her cord is tethered. The neuro will not untether uless it is a problem. However, she has no feeling so cannot tell if she has leg pain, can't have bladder pain as she has an augmentaion of lg bowel for a bladder so no nerves to be affected, back pain is minimal - associated with sitting long and the scoliosis from one side of buttocks so enlarged. walking may have been affected but due to a years neglect when mom had her away from us, she developed contractures on knees and ankle and her past club feet surgeries were for nothing. She also had both hips out of socket. Had another surgery for knees and ankle in September and PT 2x's a week. Is attempting steps with major help and walker and KFO's.
HOwever- her pants whcih I am getting 2 sizes larger, still do not fit over the growth on the left buttock and pants are way too lonf for walking. She has to have pants with stretch waist as her ileosotmy stoma is where pants waist would be and would rub as would her lik -key feeding tube.
her poor backside gets exposed to the Minnesota cold as pants cannot pu;ll up far enough. How do other people adapt to wear pants that sort of fit. It was easier when she was of a size to wear overalls but at 11, I cannot find them in her size.
