Hi everybody,

We found in last fall that our baby was coming with SB in May. I just now found this site! I am very excited to explore here. I am now going to the perinatologist every 2 weeks and so far here are our stats...

no hydrocephalus, L5 lesion(they think), no club feet

We feel very blessed to have the positives that we have been diagnosed with so far. We are in the process of talking with our neurosurgeon and figuring out more details about my delivery. I guess I am having a c-section but it seems no one can give me a specific answer right now. My husband and I can't wait for our little guy to get here. Although the kicks to my rib cage and my bladder have been quite "interesting" lately, I can't help but smile thinking of him being able to kick. It seems many things will be unknown until he comes, so until then we will just keep on keepin on...

congradulations!!! this is the site for you! I have a 9 year old son with sb, he wears braces below his knees, although he can walk without, he needs the protection becasue he doesnt have complete feeling in his feet, especially his toes. he has bladder and bowel problems but with certain medication and tecqniques he is doing fine. most of all he is the smartest little boy who means the world to me. and yes he is just a regular 9 year old who can drive his mom crazy.....hugggsss

Hi and welcome to the familyyyyyyyyyyyy!! LOL I'm Pam......have 2 children, 12 and 9, both having SB.

With both of my children's births, the docs told us as a general rule of thumb, they usually plan the c-secs 2 weeks prior to the due date. This doesn't always happen (my 9yo decided time was to come earlier)!! :)

At any rate, congatulations!! At least you don't have to worry about pregnancy/summer heat being mingled!! :D

Welcome!!
