Hi all . i found this site because my youngest child Archie 3 months has mylemeningocele and hydracephalous , u'll have to excuse my spelling, i'm still getting usedto all these long medical terms. i'm really here to hear other peoples experiences and to learn about this condition that i knew little about until my little man was in my tummy xx

Welcome! My little guy is about the same age. It is quite a shock, isn't it? Pretty amazing all the "new vocabulary" that comes along with spina bifida.

You've really "arrived" when you can follow an article about neurology or urology without a dictionary. But some words, such as "myelomen¥#§¤#¿%" are highly resisant to correct spelling. :2aa:

Nice one Dodger! Spelling is quite an art in this field.

Welcome - from another mama who is learning all SORTS of new vocabulary these days!

I was so proud of myself when I could pronounce what my little guy has.

Welcome to the site I have only been here for a short time and it has really helped me. I a 3 month little girl with myelominigocele, vp shut, club feet and a lot of other things. I found out she had sb whenI was pregers with her abut 6 months. She has certainly changed our world! She is my first child. She is wonderful all the appts. and everything is frustrating as I am sure you have read digging around on this site! Any questions feel free!:peace:
