Last time the physio visited archie she told me to keep archies little frog legs as straight as possible by padding out his pram, car seat and chair with rolled blankets !! easier said than done because he just lifts his legs over them and resumes the frog leg position !! but yesterday we had our first baby massage session, and the massage on his legs really relaxed them, and all afternoon there was not a frog leg in sighy, needless to say we've got the olive oil out twice today for massge sessions x so if ur little ones have the same problem i highly recommend baby massage xxx

Madison loved her infant massage class 2. Also, her legs were "froglike" for a while after she was born, but stretched out naturally as she got older. Massage still helps her sleep though:)

Thanks for sharing! My daughter also assumes the "frog leg" position! Her ortho doc told us not to worry about it though - I had asked if we should attempt to keep her legs more together and he said no??? I may just check out baby massage though!
I have given my son a leg massage every morning for the past 6 weeks and I swear it's made a huge difference for him! He doesn't have frog legs, but it's helped with increasing his movement and keeping the range of motion.
My daughter has the frog legs too. Our PT got us pants called hip helpers. They have really helped. The pants are really bring their legs together without fighting the towels.

what do you consider "frog legs" is it like a bowing at the knees? Does it affect the kids seriously?
I use to massage my sons legs for years, faithfully with warm baby oil, becasue his legs were always so cold, each night \i wouldnt stop until they warmed up. smiles by that time he would be fast to sleep.

Somebody please post a photo so that we can see what you mean by "frog legs"

Yes please post a photo because I'm just a little confused.
I think they're talking about when the baby is laying on his/her back, and his/her knees are bent and flopping to the outside. Zach did this. I looked for pics of him, but can't seem to find any of them though.
OP, is that what you're talking about?

Is there a website that describes how to give the massage?

Ask your PT to teach you.

She hasn't started PT yet. They didn't recommend it at last Myelo clinic. Probably next one.
