Yesterday we had some follow up appointments One of them was another pelvic x-ray. We later saw the ortho surgeon to go over the results and the x-ray showed leah is growing hip sockets!!! Her last pelvic exam was I think like 2 months ago. She was born showing no hip sockets just dislocated hip and she has the sacheral agenesis also but we were very pleased to hear of this good news!! She also had an ultrasound of her heart because when she was born they say her aortic valve was overdeveloped and she had blood pressure in her lungs. She checked out awesome in that too!! One less DR!!! YAYYYYAAAYYYA!!!! No more ped cardio!!!! :Banane21:

Thats all very good news!
Lilly had surgery right before her 1st bday to fix her subluxed right hip. A subluxed hip means that the the hip sockets didnt form correctly, they were flat instead of being rounded. So her right hip was dislocated until the surgery. She was in a body cast for a bit but the surgery went well and she has had absolutely no problems with it since.
Hopefully your daughters hips will continue to grow so surgery is not needed but if she does just know that it is an ok procedure to have done and that it helps so much when it comes to walking. I think the subluxed hip is a major reason why Lilly couldnt crawl, roll, sit up on her own until after the cast was taken off. I think she would have been doing those things before she turned one if it was corrected earlier, but they wanted to wait until right before her first bday. So we celebrated her 1st bday a whole month early. LOL

The ortho ped also said that Leah looks as though she is making very slight movements as low as her hamstring on her left leg!!!:p

I was born with no hip sockets as well. I developed what they called false hip sockets at the time. I asked a doctor what this ment when i was an adult and he said he had no idea. Either way they work pretty good. My range of motion is not the greatest but nothing that slows me down at all. I have never had the first problem with my hips either.
Glad to hear you got so much good news!!! :)
