Does anyone have any information about this condition? It's the inability to shed tears. My daughter has this since birth. She's never cried a tear in her life, does not matter how emotional (sad or hurt) she is, or how ill she is with a cold when other people's eyes would've teared up, or even when she yawns or has a speck of dust in her eyes. She simply cannot produce a tear in either of her eyes. I've asked the neurologists and the neurosurgeon about it. They were all very surprised, and the neurosurgeon said she's only the 2nd person he ever came across with it. The first is his wife! I've also taken her to an eye specialist when she was about 3, and he couldn't find a reason for it either. If it was caused by tumors, I'm sure it would've been picked up on her brain MRI.

I'm just curious if any of you have ever come across this condition?
