View Full Version : Baby Luke Update
Ok. I am currently 33 weeks 6 days. Luke weighs 5 lbs. 6 oz. He is measuring as 35 weeks. I am scheduled for delivery December 13th. So far I was told his hydro is at 20mm but the measurement was at the correct size of 33 weeks 5 days. Does that sound weird? We found out the defect starts at L-3-S1 or S2 could see more because of his position but could see it closes at the end. Please keep us in your prayers. I am so excited and it suprises me because of the feelings I felt before. I cant wait until he arrives He moves so much in utero. He was breached last month but is not in the downward position. Is it possible for him to be moving his legs or a leg if he is still rolling around in there at this size? I thought he would stay breeched with the way the doctors made it sound. I know he is going to suprise everyone.:19a:

Congrats. It sounds like Luke is growing at a good rate. You don't have that much longer to wait.
Makenna's head always measured a little small too. They always talk about the hydro and how big it measures, then the actual head measurements end up being a little small, so it is all so confusing. I was expecting her to have a very large weird shaped head, but she didn't. It was small and shaped perfect. She was breach throughout the whole pregnancy and the vaginal birth. I can't tell you anything about them rotating, but it sounds like good news. Good luck on everything.

What a perfect holiday gift!
Oh, so soon!! How exciting!!
Do you mean his head was measuring 33w5d, but the rest of him was 35w? That's okay. The smaller head measurement was actually how I found this site! At one point near the end Kingsley's head was measuring about 5 weeks smaller than it should've been. He didn't quite have hydro, he only got up to about 10-11mm at the end. My OB said not to worry about small head size. U/S's are not as valid near the end, so measurements may not actually be accurate. And, for some reason babes with SB measure small heads in utero. King's head was smaller than my other two franken-head babies :p but totally normal by comparison to most newborns.
Kingsley also flipped a lot at the end. They kept telling me he'd likely stay breech bc of the SB, but he didn't! Over and over. Ouch.
