http://www.sbpreparations.org/

I came across this interactive website designed to help people with spina bifida prepare for successful adult transitions. For children it is aimed at parents, but there is also a young adult section.

I'd be interested for some folks to try it and see if it is useful or not.

Looks great...but wierd, The Centre of Disease Control and Prevention and some Spina Bifida professionals put it together, and a Spina bifida Association. Who are these People?

Sean,

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention is a federal program for the US. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention basically monitors the health of Americans and makes sure there aren't any dangerous outbreaks. They also do research trials on many different health issues, etc.

Spina Bifida Association is a national association in the US as well.

The CDC goes well beyond what you would think by their name - it isn't just about "disease" but about all kinds of public health issues and they compile demographic data related to health, disease, births, deaths, etc.

See www.cdc.gov

Thanks, sounded a bit odd from here, downunder.
Big THANKS! to "The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention. U.S.A." for the recognition/validation of young adults with SB.
Fantastic!!! It's happening.
At last someone is gathering some stat's.
I'm old er, I can see it, it's the beginning of the end of dealing with SB, alone, as we age.

It's a wonderful world!..................Amidst the current turmoil.
