Hey guys. I figured you guys would be the best to ask about this.
My family is trying to plan our very first trip to Disneyland (or whatever the name of the location in Florida is) and we just wanted to know a few things about the place.
1. How accessible is the place? I mean, we've heard that it's the most accessible amusement park in the country, but we all know that because it says it's accessible doesn't necessarily mean it's true.
2. What wheelchair would you suggest I use? I have a power chair that I use when I have to go really long distances like at the Renaissance festival, but it absolutely sucks when it comes to climbing inclines. My manual chair is definitely more of an all-terrain vehicle out of the two, but the older I get, the less stamina I find I have for walking long distances.
3. Which on-site hotel is the most wheelchair friendly, including the bathrooms? I don't weight bear at all so I would need a shower with a built in seat or one that could accommodate my potty chair.
4. Which attractions and rides would be best for a wheelchair user with rods? I've been told that a person with rods shouldn't ride the rollercoaster rides or anything with jarring motions. What does that leave?
5. Any other tips you might have would be very much appreciated!
