I'm a mom in Mid-Michigan. My younger daughter is 15 months with SB at L5/S1. Still learning all the lingo. I am so happy to have found this site - I am going to take a week just to read through all the posts! Love the info on the Mirilax, we've been using Lactolose and just started with the "Enemeez". Our dr. hasn't had us start the cathing yet, and she just got a UTI this week. We go to Detroit Children's Hospital for everything except the urologist, he's in Lansing and that's closer and we like him.
Look forward to learning a lot from everyone! Theresa

Welcome!
Its really good to know that you have a good Uro. Thats the one specialist you really have to hang onto. Orthopods and Neurologists can come & go, but your quality of life (and life itself sometimes) depends on having a good urologist.
You forgot to tell us her name!
I'm Roger - 40yo, South African, SB at L1/2, no hydrocephalus, fulltime wheelchair user.
I'm "notorious" in this forum as the cynical old guy!
Welcome. It sounds to me like you have the lingo down quite a bit already. Holler if you need anything!

Roger - you've shamed me! The mother guilt continues - I can't believe I forgot to give her name!!! Her name is Flynn Katherine Jeanette Anderson. Maybe I was just too tired to type the whole thing out.
Flynn - because we said she would be "In like Flynn" before she was born. We were in a state of shock after she was born.
Katherine - because we thought if she doesn't like Flynn we have a back up
Jeanette - because that was my mom's name, she passed away in 2005
I know I've said it a couple times now, but I am so impressed with the wealth of information on this site. It's addictive too, I have been reading and learning so much every day.
Roger - our urologist is great but I'm concerned he hasn't started us on a cathing program yet. We go back in October, and we requested a "Cathing 101" class from the nurse. She does have reflux to both kidneys, and has had one UTI. He mentioned she does have a weak bladder neck but I'm still concerned.
And - Roger - you don't seem too old and cynical! I think I've read almost all of your posts.
And - Barb - I think the only thing I need right now is more time to go through all the posts! Thank you.
