Yes, but as I'm not a walker it doesn't matter to me.

Both mine are out too. When I get out of my chair and onto my bed, one of them crunches really loudly. Just as well I can't feel it!

I have a left hip which pops out of socket frequently. Rotated out like mad. And was different length when I was born. Needs more rebooting than a crashed PC. (big grins).

Kent T you are too funny! We like funny around here.

both mine are out of joint bigtime. One hip points directly downward and I actually sit on it (caused an internal pressure sore so bad I lost the leg) and the other one points directly towards the back of my wheelchair. Like I said, way out of place, but since i'm a full time wheelchair user it isn't very relavent to me. Sometimes my hip(s) will pop if i turn a certain way and it's loud and gross. but usually it's a big non issue.

My left hip has been out since birth. There was some discussion about putting it back in, but they finally reasoned that I didn't have enough of a natural hip socket to be worth doing the surgery. Mine pops and crunches all the time. It doesn't hurt, but it sounds creepy as hell, like when you pop the wing off a chicken or something.

Yup, one of Madis is out, but since she walks pretty well and it's nice and soft and movable, they are just leaving it alone :)

Yes. Lillys R hip was fixed right before her 1st bday because the ortho surg felt that her chances of walking would be better after surgery. I'd do it again if I had the choice. She's never had any problems with it. In fact an xray was done of her hip yesterday at SB clinic and it looks perfect.

I need a new left hip if not a revision.

Kaiya's hips are both out..one side more than the other but I am sure you have seen videos of her walking with afo's and her walker just fine. Our ortho doesn't like to doing surgery unless it's painful and doesn't seem to be right now. He also told us he sees a lot of SB kiddos that walk fine with hips out. And with surgery there is always the possibility of it popping out again.
