I was wondering if any of you takes bactrim, and if so have u acquired side effects from it, out of nowhere??? I have taken it off and on for years, practically my whole life, really. I never seemed to have any issues with it, in terms of side effects and now I feel a kind of nervous energy any time I take it. :33a: I thought that maybe it was all in my head, but after doing some research I came to find that many others have felt the same way. So, now I am thinking that I have this uncomfortable side effect to deal with all of sudden. I thought that any meds a person take are supposed to become less effective as time goes on, not more. Anyway. just wanted to know of anyone else's experiences with it cuz I feel like it is almost not worth taking it anymore

The only problem with bactrim I have is with my stomach. It kills me, along with Amoxicillin and Augmentin. I'm on part of Amoxicillin called Primsol as a preventative antibiotic and have had absolutely no stomach issues since starting it. It has been awesome. I am allergic to floxin. I only took it once and broke out in hives as a child. I am however, not allergic to cipro or levaquin which all the doctors look at me weird when I say that. I guess they all have the same stuff in them.
