Sagan was fitted for his KAFO yesterday, we should get it in about a week. We are so excited! :bluesbrothers: It is clear that it is what he needs and I expect to be chasing him down in no time.

But, uhmmm, I am a bit lost on how to dress him. I did a search on the archives and it appears that dresses and leggings are the preferred approach. :sign0020: I think it would be just fine, but I think the husbeast my have issues. ;)

There is the added complexity that he only has one KAFO - do I need to get huge pants/shorts or stretchy sweat pants. Any tips for active young boys?

Also adding a question: Sagan's orthotist says he doesn't need a sock between his thigh piece and skin - that the foam is sufficient. I am not sure I believe him and am going to try the Children's Place tight trick Smoop talks about if he seems uncomfortable.

My mom used to get me wide leg trousers back when I used KAFOS - I believe cargo pants (militarty style with pockets all over) are still quite popular for kids.
For what its worth I didn't wear anything under the thigh part.

Maybe try gauchos.

You can use babylegs (or huggalugs, or any brand like that) for the legs with regular socks. They come in all kinds of prints for boys, like flames and skulls and stuff. There are also lots of thigh-high socks and you could get solid colors.
