My fiance Steven and I both live in seprate states right now and with him having severe headaches, tiredness, and nausea. His mother wont bring him to get his shunt checked and with me being here and him being there its hard for me to help him like i would like to; it scares me. I dont know what to do? Should i be worried?

Welcome to the forum. Dont be afraid to post your questions in other parts of the forum. Dont feel you are asking a silly question either, there is no such thing as a silly question.

And you are allowed to worry, you are his partner after all and you care.

Why is it up to his mother to do something about it?
Shunt problems are usually urgent or even emergencies - delay can cause irreversible damage. If he is unable to go to his neurologist by himself, and his own family don't do anything about it, its up to you to take action.

he lives with his mother. Me and him have been friends for years but we live in diffrent states he just resently asked me to marry him. i dont know nothing about sb thats why i joined here to learn more so i can help, but right know me and him live 1000 some miles away from each other and are in a money tight situation and have no way of getting to each other. His mother is the only one that can, but wont do anything unfortunatly.
