Hello Caroline!
I am the mother of an 11 year old with spina bifida. I want to make things more accessible to her. Can you tell me some things to do in the kitchen that will make it easier for her daily living?

The kid is only 11 and you want to put her to work in the kitchen already? Poor Cinderella...
There are laws against child exploitation and slavery in most countries.:sign0020:

I've had some great fun with my nieces making messes in my mother's kitchen!:sign0008:
But seriously, a kitchen can be very difficult (even dangerous) to operate from a wheelchair if it isn't set up correctly.

Roger,
I don't want her to prepare a 4-course meal!! I just want her to be able to get her own snack or drink if she feels the need, if I happen to be taking a long bubble bath while eating bon-bons and drinking champagne!!! LOL! Yeah Right! No, seriousley. I want the child to feel independent enough to get what she needs in the kitchen. (without touching the stove!) And while she's at it, she can maybe wash the dishes. You never know!!:dance2:
