MACE/ACE Procedure

My Lizard (Elizabeth) is having a lot of trouble with bowel continence. I had to take her out of her private school because of it and am now home-schooling. I have recently heard about a MACE/ACE procedure. Can anyone tell me what it is and if it is a good idea?

I have had this since I was 12. I absolutely love it. The surgery isn't that fun due to the clean out, but it is well worth it. Just make sure you have a dr. that knows what they are doing. I had to have mine revised and then we had to put a tube down it for about a year because a catheter wouldn't go down it. I have had no problems since. I also have the mitrofanoff where I cath through my belly button.
