Hi, my name is Meg. I am 50 years old and recently diagnosed and had surgery for spina bifida occulta. I left a rather lenghty post on the Adults with Spina Bifida forum. I would appreciate any support, because as I am discovering, no one I know understands what spina bifida is and how I just got diagnosed. Everyone acts like the "back surgery", (I try to correct them and say it was spine surgery) was an elective surgery I had, and everyone keeps telling me about their back problems. and how I should have never had surgery. They just don't quite understand the progression of my condition and the true pain I have been in. If you have a few minutes, please read my post and give me some feedback. Thank you so much..Meg
