Recently, we were able to have regular metal braces made for my son. They begin just below the knee’s, and you wear regular high ankle sneakers over the metal bottom. I have to wrap his ankle with a soft sponge pad to prevent sores. I am happy to say they are working out fine. Although he still has a swing to his walk, which worries me.
I am a canadian living in north africa, so we don’t have all the equipment, supplies, doctors, etc available to us. So SBC, is a blessing to us. It makes me feel I am not alone. Thanks everyone

It was very stressful, not being able to find braces for my son. metal braces go back a long way, but basically they still do their job..

I am so glad that a doctor was able to finally make you something! C is no longer wearing the bigger ones because he is not walking as much! That made my day to know that you are getting somewhere with your long search for bracing!
