Hi everyone,
Just found this site. My sister Lisa, 29 years old, born with Spina Bifida, just recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Just returned from visiting her in Arizona for 10 days, and had the most amazing time. Her and her husband have a fantastic system set up with the baby, it is working out so well for them. My sister works full time at A.B.I.L., Arizona Bridge to Independent Living. I would love to help with any questions...especially growing up as a sibling with spina bifida. I was 15 years older than her, brought her around everywhere with me! I hope to get her on this site soon...when she has a free moment!

Welcome. Everyone in my little family of four was born in AZ. :) Sounds like she has a great big sis :happy065:

Welcome:happy065:
Its great to have a sibling's point of view represented here. Of course we'd love to have your sister also join us.

You forgot to tell us your name - or do you really want to be known as "Sis"? :sign0020:

Welcome to the Forum,
Yeah sisters are great,I've got 3 of them,I'm their brother with the SB.We sort of split off into pairs. My younger 2 sisters are a team and my eldest sister and I are the other team.I'm really close with my eldest sis, been that way since we were little, she's 55 and I'm 52.We both live on the same street,6 houses apart. There's pretty much nothing that we wouldn't do for each other.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! My name is Beth, and I do hope I can help anyone with questions pertaining to siblings and maybe some ideas on what has worked for us over the years in terms of the spina bifida. Lisa had all of her surgeries at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, my folks had moved to Arizona while Lisa was entering high school. Again, love to help any way I can!
