Hello Rach!
You have found a great place to find others who know what its all about. I am the proud mother of an 11 year old girl with spina bifida.
Nice to meet you.

Hi I am Kathy and I to have SBO. Although I did not find out I had it until I was in my mid thirties. As know medical professional thought to tell my parents or pass this information on to my GP when I was a child. I have been attending orthopedic clinics for most of my life. It did come as a shock to find out the SBO was the reason why I had been attending. Sorry to go on I just need to rant!

In my opnion it is harder to find out about it when you are older. Like those of us that were diagnosed at birth we didn't have to adapt this was normalfo us from day one which i think all will agree is the easiest wa to go.
