We are starting this today. I have heard that it does not cause the heat related side effects that ditropan can. Anyone have any side effects that I need to know about? Also, can the capsules be opened and sprinkled on food?

Our doctor that we can sprinkle it but then he ended up being able to swallow it after all.

Boy, is it working! He has a noticeable power stream that wasn't there yesterday ;)

Anyone ever get 'itchy' taking this? There are no hives or anything but he is scratching like crazy and that is the only thing besides the obvious cold weather change that I can think of.

hi barb, that great that you are trying detrol, my son tried ditropan and it was great, his urine came out in a stream, and we were so excited, feel so bad that we stopped it, are you trying to cath again? I also noticed with Iyoub that he was itching alot in the begining then it went away,his body adjusted to the medication. I am hoping to give it a try again when my son is more interested in trying to create a bathroom routine. thats why we stopped, he just didnt want to constantly be going to the bathroom.
