my two month old moves her head back and forth when she's on my chest or on her tummy on the floor. and it's constant. i have to hold her head still on my chest to stop it and then she'll settle and fall asleep. thankfully she falls asleep on her own in her bed but if i'm just snuggling with her on the couch she just keeps moving that head.
the first month or six weeks of her life she would tilt her head back quite a bit after eating and when in one of her chairs. i believe it's a chiari thing - she doesn't do well when her head drops to her chest -almost like she has trouble breathing and sometimes it makes her cough. also if she is being fed (she takes a bottle) in a position where her neck is tilted forward she will have trouble swallowing and at times cough/gag. this happened more when she was a newborn though. we changed feeding positions and she never did it again. also a chiari thing i believe.
